I work as an artist since 1988. I’m involved in documentary film and TV documentations since 1998. 

I am currently working on an own film essay about my mother’s legacy.

Since 2011, I am a certified and registered drama therapist. Since 2012, a certified coach based on systemic theory and practice.

My focus lies in transgenerational transmission, the embodied traces of history and trauma. 

I have completed several additional training programmes in trauma prevention and trauma treatment.

From 2014 until 2018, I have collaborated with the drama therapist and theatre maker Armand Volkas, a son of Auschwitz survivors and resistance fighters, on various projects, including co-leading workshops on the legacy of the Third Reich and World War II in the USA and in Poland.

From 2013 onwards, I have led seminars as a tutor at the Arts Therapies Department of Alanus University and the Institut für Theatertherapie. I have provided coaching services to ProPeace/ZfD Forum Cologne and GIZ, as well as to filmmakers using my “Film-Aufstellen” method.

I have worked as a drama therapist in clinical settings and in private practice. I have also been a trauma prevention trainer for ARQ Trauma Centre 45 in the Netherlands and a coach for ProPeace/ZfD Forum and GIZ civic peace services.

From 2019 to 2022, I was a board member of the Scientific Research Association for Arts Therapies (WFKT Germany) and the Dutch Dramatherapy Association (NVDT). I am the co-founder of the Research Institute for Theatre Therapy (R-ITT) in Germany, which I led from April 2021 to October 2025.

I studied Fine Arts at the Art Academy Düsseldorf and the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht from 1990 to 1994. I completed an MA in Art and Theatre in Social Contexts at HKS University Ottersberg from 2015 to 2016, having previously studied Special Education at the University of Cologne from 1984 to 1988. I participated as an actor and co-director at the TAM Theatre in Krefeld for almost ten years.
I undertook certified dramatherapy training at the Institut für Theatertherapie from 2008 to 2011.
